Theresa Perez is the founder of IN Arts Creative. Her idea for a creative agency serving arts organizations was born while she was completing her Masters Degree in Arts and Cultural Management at the Rome Business School. Theresa was looking for a vehicle that would bring together her talents for marketing and artist management as well as her passion for collaborating with other artists and her enthusiasm for organizations and businesses that provide platforms for their work.
Theresa graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contemporary Music Writing and Production. Since then, her career has been focused on the arts and non-profit sectors. She has held positions in various aspects of arts production and management at Sony Music, Red Light Management, Ex’pression College of Digital Arts, Montuno, The School of The New York Times, StoryCenter, and Creative Realization Group. She’s worked with acclaimed musician Esperanza Spalding as stage manager and member of her artist management team and supported the production of an opera composed by jazz legend Wayne Shorter. Through her work she’s had the opportunity to meet some of the great leaders and artists of our time including, President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, Tony Bennett, Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, Audra McDonald, and many others.
Theresa is an accomplished graphic designer and marketing consultant. She has created brand and marketing materials for activist and former Black Panther Party Leader Ericka Huggins, musician Leo Genovese, and the non-profit social justice organization World Trust. She's also supported dozens of photoshoots for acclaimed publications, including Vogue, Glamour, Pitchfork, and more. She leads clients through the branding process—refining their key messaging and visual materials—and creates original designs for a variety of projects, such as album covers, concert posters, and promotional materials.
IN Arts Creative is an expression of Theresa’s talent, experience, and love for the arts. A musician herself, she was the leader of a band in Oakland, California, for six years. During that time she self-produced and released three recordings and performed throughout the Bay Area. Theresa continues to sing, play guitar and percussion, and write songs.
Theresa has an intuitive ability to relate to other artists—both as clients and as collaborators. Through In Arts Creative, she is bringing together artists to support one another in ways that are both inspirational and lucrative.
